True Artificial Intelligence is a little off. Most of the work is in Augmented Intelligence which is about making humans and the business processes more intelligent. If you look at companies like Amazon, they have replaced many of their jobs with bots of some kind or another, but for some key jobs, even something as simple as a picker, they have a human brain involved. The problem that no one is addressing is that our programming languages are really not designed for AI. We have reached a barrier based on the languages. We fight it every day. So we are not going to advance in AI till we dump our present way of doing it. So going back about the new challenges is fixing the human side of the AI interaction. Something we are doing now, laying the groundwork. Akind to you can’t have a driverless car without electric brakes and steering.
